If you are like most people, I am sure that at some time in your life, someone you loved has let you down…someone has forsaken you…or someone has betrayed you. Whether it was a friend, a family member, or a husband or wife, you put your confidence in that person, but in the end that person was not to be trusted. They hurt you…they let you down…they may have even broken your heart. It happens…and when it does, it is painful…and sometimes it’s even devastating. But still we find a way to put our lives back together and to go on…hopefully. However, some people never move past a broken heart. Many people maintain an untrusting heart all their lives because their heart was broken and they never allow themselves to love again. And often, even if they do love again, they still go through the same circumstance. It’s a very painful and sad situation for a person to find themselves in.
I hope you will join me here often as I share how the Word of God is affecting our everyday lives and how we can live in obedience to Him. So, be sure to share this blog with your friends! A Love You Can Trust
But I want to tell you
about a person who loves you so much…He has promised He will never leave you…He
will never forsake you…and He will never betray you. You can depend on Him to
always be faithful and true. I want to tell you about Jesus, my Savior and my
Lord.
How to Avoid Being Deceived
Friends, I don’t have to tell you that we are living in an unprecedented time of lies, innuendos and deception. I have never heard so many people dramatizing anything and everything false in order to deceive the masses. It’s uncanny to say to least. From evil politicians, to lying journalists, to governments and worldwide organizations…there are lies and deception everywhere. No wonder Jesus spent so much time warning His Disciples and us to beware and to not be deceived. The truth is Friends, if you are not aware of what is really going on in the world today, if you are not in constant communication with the Holy Spirit and listening for His leading, it will be real easy to become confused and therefore deceived.
Some Thoughts From Philippians 1
I was reading in the first chapter of the Book of Philippians the other day, and I noticed four things there that Paul was sharing with the Church at Philippi that I really believe if you and I were to apply them to our lives, we would see a greater success in our walk with the Lord and our ministry to others. If you would, turn with me to Philippians chapter 1 and let’s look at a few verses there.
- In the first 2 verses, Paul is greeting those Christians at Philippi on behalf of himself and Timothy…and then beginning in verses 3-6 he says, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”
