Most anybody can preach in the cities, the open stadiums, the comfortable churches...but Jesus didn't do that. He went to places like Samaria, the tax collector's house, the graveyards, to those demon possessed, to the harlots, to funeral processions, even to closed tombs. Jesus went where people were hurting, dying...already dead. In other words, Jesus went where others would not even think of going.
Today you see evangelist going from church to church, but Jesus said "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." (Mark 2:17)
I've heard people say, "If he's a healer, why doesn't he go to the hospitals instead of to the churches?"...and I must say I agree. Why don't we go to those who are hurting, those who are broken, those who have need of a Savior? If we have the power of God working through us (and every born-again child of God should have), then why aren't we going where the needs are? Why aren't we going where the lost are? Why aren't we going where others will not. That is where Jesus went...and the funny thing is, He has called His Disciples to "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19)
Servants of God...it's time to move out of our "comfort zone" and go where Jesus went. It's time to reach lost souls with the only thing that will change their lives...The Gospel of Jesus Christ. The last instructions He left for the Church was to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."(Mark 16:15) and the early church understood exactly what they were supposed to do. Why is it so hard for us to understand such clear and precise instructions? It's time we stopped rationalizing and simply obeyed. If we dare to call Him Lord...then it's time we began to do what He told us to do! Don't you agree?
