Jesus prayed a prayer as He was in the Garden on the night of His betrayal. I want to look at that prayer now. In John 17:20-23, Jesus had just prayed for the Disciples that He had spent the past 3 1/2 years training to carry on the work of the Gospel, and then He prayed for you and for me. This is what He said:
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."
Friends, as long as we are steeped in tradition, as long as we are divided by man-made denominations, as long as we are preaching something other than the Truth of God's Word, we cannot be one as Jesus and the Father are one. And right now...I believe that God is destroying those things that divide the True Church of Jesus Christ. He is tearing down divisions, He is destroying denominational differences and He is combating those who are preaching a false Gospel. JESUS IS BUILDING HIS CHURCH...just like He said He would. Let me tell you Friends, if you are not building your faith on the True Word of God, then you are about to sink. Because when the rains come and when the storms rage...your house will NOT stand...because you built your faith on sinking sand and not on the ROCK. YOU MUST BUILD YOUR FAITH ON THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD. ALL OF IT!
So what I am saying is the same thing that I am always saying...get into the Word of God and STUDY IT FOR YOURSELF! Also get into your prayer closet and get real with God. Spend much time in His presence and allow Him to show you Truth and to guide you through the chaos that we are facing just ahead. If you don't, you will totally miss what God is doing in the world, and you will be deceived. It's only by having an intimate relationship with God that you will make it through the times that are coming upon the earth. Jesus is coming for His Bride, Friends...and you don't want to miss that event!
