Caterpillars to Butterflies

I've been thinking about caterpillars lately. I'm sure it's not an easy task, after crawling on its belly all it's life, then to have to attach itself to a branch and start weaving a cocoon around it's body. I'm sure it takes every bit of diligence, strength and endurance it's got. But then, when the work is done and the wait is over, as the caterpillar prepares to let go of that dead shell of a cocoon, finally it breaks loose and it's free... to fly and to witness things it has never seen before from it's caterpillar crawling position. Now, it's been given "wings of eagles"...well at least the wings of a butterfly...and it will soar to heights it has never been before...and in this new body, that butterfly will NEVER crawl around on its belly any more. It was a difficult journey, but at last...that butterfly is free!

Does that remind you of anything?
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." (1 Corinthians 13:12)

Take A Little Nostalgia Trip With Me:

Strange feeling...I was wandering around on Google Maps the other day and I decided to see what was going on with my Grandmother and Grandfather's old house in Alabama. My very earliest memories of my life are from that house. I remember when I was around 3 years old, riding a tricycle up and down the sidewalk that used to be there.

My mom told me that we lived right down the street from there when I was an baby, and one day when I was sound asleep, Mom forgot about me, and she headed down the street to her mama's house when she remembered she had a little baby at home still sleeping. She said I would sleep for hours...in fact I still do. 😊 hahaha

So You Won't Be Led Astray

I was just reading in 2 Peter chapter 3 and ran across a verse that just blew me away. Do you want to know why there are so many people teaching false doctrine these days? It's right here...pay attention to the last part of this portion of scripture...

"Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures." (2 Peter 3:14-16)
And then Peter writes: "You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:17-18)
THAT is why I keep on encouraging you to seriously study the scriptures and learn God's Truth for yourself...so you won't be led away with the error of the wicked!

One Day...And I Don't Think it Will Be Long

In the Book of Hebrews, just after chapter 11 where we see testimonies of all the Great Heroes of the Faith, and reminders of how they obeyed God, even through great peril and persecution... and in Chapter 12 verses 1-2 we read this:

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
