I've been thinking about caterpillars lately. I'm sure it's not an easy task, after crawling on its belly all it's life, then to have to attach itself to a branch and start weaving a cocoon around it's body. I'm sure it takes every bit of diligence, strength and endurance it's got. But then, when the work is done and the wait is over, as the caterpillar prepares to let go of that dead shell of a cocoon, finally it breaks loose and it's free... to fly and to witness things it has never seen before from it's caterpillar crawling position. Now, it's been given "wings of eagles"...well at least the wings of a butterfly...and it will soar to heights it has never been before...and in this new body, that butterfly will NEVER crawl around on its belly any more. It was a difficult journey, but at last...that butterfly is free!
Does that remind you of anything?
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." (1 Corinthians 13:12)
