Each of Us Will Give an Account to God

One thing I know, when the Apostles began the Early Church, they were completely turning their world upside-down with the Gospel all over the known world. It brought them pain and persecution, but they continued to do it anyway. Why did they do that in spite of the hardships they endured? It was because they KNEW beyond a doubt that the Message they were preaching had the power to change the lives of those who heard it and if those people would receive the Truth, it would set them free and give them eternal life! And THAT was more important than their comfort, more important than their safety and even more important than their lives. AND because they were determined to fulfill the Command of Jesus in their lives, every one of them except John died at the hands of vicious people, and even he suffered unbearable persecution.

And yet I have met so many Christians today who have never in their lives shared the Gospel with even one person. Some people have been Christians for 30, 40 or 50 years and have never...not one time...told anyone about the Good News that could change their lives forever! Friends...we are doing something very wrong, because we declare that we love the Lord, we pray that God would heal our sicknesses, we thank Him for giving us eternal life, we go to church every Sunday...and yet in spite of the direct command from Jesus Himself to go into all the world and preach the Gospel, we continue to ignore Him...in fact, we completely disobey Him. And because we don't do what we are commanded to do, people all over the world are dying every day and will one day stand before God to give an account for their lives. AND not only will they give an account for their lives...so will we. Think about it Friends...how will you answer to God when you need to explain why you never shared The Gospel, that is the power God unto Salvation, with anyone??? What will you say?
