As it Was in the Days of Noah...

It's an amazing thing to me that Noah spent 100 years trying to warn the people that God's judgement was coming and the end of the earth as they knew it, and even though Noah continued to build, the people refused to believe him.

And yet, here we are, thousands of years later and Jesus said it will be the same way again as it was in the days of Noah. Watchmen and women are sounding the alarm, and yet even many church leaders want to go on with "life as usual" and they refuse to hear the warning... even with all the prophetic signs being fulfilled all around us!

And we are now living in a time of GREAT deception because people will not hear the truth! It's very sad. But the truth is, prophecy WILL be fulfilled... whether we are ready or not. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14)

"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matthew 24:37-39)

Actually Understanding God's Word

When I began to read and study the Bible according to what it actually says, reading and praying over whole books at a time and comparing scripture to scripture, instead of just picking up bits and pieces of scripture and accepting whatever other people taught or what denominations' belief systems were...that is when my understanding of God's Word changed and I began to see more of what God actually wrote for the benefit of His Creation.

I learned that the BEST Teacher is the Holy Spirit and if you desire to truly understand God's Word, He will teach you. James said, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5) and also Jesus assured us, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." (John 16:13) So rather than spend my time in reading books and commentaries written by others, I began to read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach me...and THAT has made all the difference!

Living in the “Information Age”

If you’ve been around for a while, I’m sure you will agree that we are living in a time like no other in history. This era is known as the “Information Age” and there’s a very good reason for that. There has never been a time in history when information was ever as abundant and readily available as it is today. If you are active on the internet, you have more information at your fingertips than has ever been available at any time before.

We receive information from the government, from the healthcare industry, from Big Pharma, from different regulatory agencies, from our Justice Department…and then you hear from news agencies, social media, big business, the entertainment industry, people from all around the world.

We MUST Keep Our Eyes on What God is Doing

I wrote this article back during the time when Covid was at it's peak, and I wanted to share it with you again. Perhaps it will bless you today:

Well it’s September 17th, 2021 and tonight I want to share some thoughts with you today about what’s going on in our world right now and also what I believe God is doing. For me, it’s been a week filled with a lot of reflecting, as I lost two dear long-time friends to cancer this week, each of them only one day apart. I am a bit surprised at how it is affecting me, as I have been thinking a lot about my own mortality. I am getting to an age that I can’t take for granted that I will have tomorrow on this earth, just like my friends were. These women have been in my life for a long time…and in a matter of only a few short months, they are gone. And in fact, I am hearing about of whole lot of people who are dying lately, and if you’ve been keeping up with what’s going on in the world, you have been hearing about it too.

Watch the Alliances That are Forming

Not only is the alliance between Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa strengthening and have added Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the UAE, but just this week, Russia has also formed a pact with North Korea for military defense. Not to mention that a fleet of Russian Warships just spent 5 days in Cuba. Friends, it is VITAL that we pay attention to what is going on on the other side of the world, because things are happening that are truly going to be Biblical! Watch what develops out of all the conflict in Israel!

"Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." (Luke 21:28)

The Crown of Life

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)

At times, there may be a bit of confusion to the growing Christian who has committed his ways and life to the Lord. He begins by seeing the wonderful works of the Holy Spirit in his life. He is filled with tremendous joy as God reveals the beauty and magnitude of His love. What a glorious sight to behold as the miracle of life in Christ unfolds. Day by day, he renews his mind with the Word of Truth, grows in faith and is transformed in his heart in the ways of the Lord.

Then one day, and it must come in all our spiritual lives, that faith will be tested. Someone once said, “To Satan it is temptation, to us it is tribulation, to God it is the trying of our faith.” However we label it, the certainty of it is very real, and the results are of tremendous benefit…if we will endure to the end of our race.

Watching For The Signs

When we see all that's happening around the world, we can see that the earth is convulsing with signs of the return of Christ. Jesus said, "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28) Friends, we can see the signs all around us, and there are still a few things left to take place according to God's Word...but we need to be alert and watching and praying, because it's gonna get a whole lot shakier between now and then. We will need to know in our hearts that no matter how things appear, God is still in control!

Persecution

The Early Church understood that the NORMAL Lifestyle for a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ was to face persecution, and Believers in many countries today understand that as well. It's illegal in many countries to be a Christian or to even own a Bible. And in many countries, if you convert to Christianity, your own family will try to kill you. But in America, we think it's really difficult if someone says something insulting to us for being a Christian. Friends, Jesus said, "If they hate Me, they will hate you too!" We need to understand that, as we get closer to the end of time, we WILL be persecuted if we are going to remain faithful in our devotion to God. We need to make up our minds right now that we will stand with Jesus...NO MATTER WHAT may come our way!

The Beginning of a Global Economy is Happening

With the US National Debt rising and the value of the US Dollar falling rapidly worldwide, many countries around the world are refusing to trade in the US Dollar. A significant occurrence is taking place right now with the BRICS Alliance, and their plans for a new worldwide currency to replace the dollar on the worldwide market. Your best bet is to pay yourself OUT OF DEBT and DO NOT spend your money unwisely. Remember, the Bible tells us these things will occur and they will lead to a one world government. If you are paying attention, you will see that end times prophecy is being fulfilled right now...but you must WAKE UP and PAY ATTENTION! We are living in a time when life is NOT going to continue as usual. Things are changing...rapidly! So we need to stay out of debt, be wise in our dealings, stay prayed up and listen for instructions from the Holy Spirit telling us how to navigate these Last Days. It's not here yet, but it will be coming soon and we all need to beware!

"He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666." (Revelation 13:16-18)

Be Willing to Know the Truth!

My prayer today is that God will lead me to encourage people who are willing to hear the truth of God's Word. Far too many Christians are not willing to hear truth but they are anxious to follow fables and listen to preachers and leaders who will tickle their ears and say what they want to hear. Truth is not always easy, but it still remains true! Truth is not looking for self promotion or for their own glory, or for money. Truth is not saying one thing while living something totally different. Truth always remains the same and it can be verified in the pages of your Bible!

"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth." (John 17:17-19)

How to Pray

Remember this: Prayer is a "conversation" with God. It doesn't mean you should go to Him with your want list, it doesn't mean you talk, talk, talk at God, and it doesn't mean you get to tell Him everything you want Him to fix about everybody else. Prayer means you go to God with a humbled heart, you are there to spend time with Him...in His presence. Many times you are there looking for answers for your life, seeking direction. Oftentimes you are just there to thank Him for how good He has been to you or to you may want to tell Him how much you love Him. And if you are truly seeking for answers, and you are really looking for direction, at some point He will direct your path or He will answer the questions you have for you life. Here's a suggestion...go to God and ask Him..."Father, what would YOU have me to know today?" and then listen for the answer. Or, "Father, would you please search my heart and show me if there is something I need to change?" And I promise, if you are sincere, the Holy Spirit will begin to show you things in your own heart that He wants to work in. But we have to want to commune with God, and we need to do it every day.

"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13)

New Heavens and a New Earth!

If you are looking for the election to bail this country out of it's many problems and give you some peace, you will be sadly disappointed. The only One Who can give you any peace with the world conditions spiraling out of control is the presence of the Holy Spirit. And the ONLY way to have His Presence is to repent of your sins and turn to Christ as your Savior and Lord. The Bible never tells us that the world is going to get better, but it does promise us NEW Heavens and a
NEW Earth! That's what I'm looking for! How about YOU??

Obeying the Spirit Rather Than the Law

“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12)

This one scripture speaks with such authority that it should be the very essence of all that we do or say. The solemn reality is that each of us will one day stand before a Holy God and be held accountable for our lives. While we may deceive others, we cannot deceive God, for He discerns the deepest secrets of our hearts.  Think about that for a moment. God knows the motives and intents of everything we do and everything we say…not only the what, but also the why. I once heard a teacher say that when we get to Heaven, the Lord will ask us two questions: What did you do? And why did you do it?

He Came To Set The Captives Free

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness”
(Gen 1:26a)

Many have debated over this portion of scripture down through the ages. Obviously, God wasn’t talking about our physical image, as He has appeared in many ways to many people. To Abraham, He appeared as a man (Gen 18:1-2), to Moses, as a burning bush (Ex 3:4), and a cloud by day and a pillar by night (Ex 13:21). He appeared at Mount Sinai in a cloud of glory, in smoke, thunder and lightening. (Ex 19:6-8) To Paul, He appeared as a bright light (Acts 9:3), and to John, as “One like unto the Son of Man.” (Rev 1:13)
