We MUST Be Prepared!

With all that I've seen and heard over my lifetime, there's not a lot that surprises me anymore. People do unbelievable things and there are events taking place that I never thought I would be aware of. But I know that God has never been surprised or shocked, because He has seen everything...every sin that has ever been committed, He has heard every evil and hateful thought that has crossed the minds of mankind. But the things that I read in scripture that will come upon the earth will totally astound and shock the world. And anyone who is not prepare to face it will be deceived, will be horrified and according to scripture, people will beg the rocks to fall on them for fear of what God reveals will take place.

I said all that to say this...PLEASE make sure you are prepared for what God's Word clearly describes. And we prepare by drawing nearer to God than ever before by studying His Word and knowing Him intimately though prayer and worship. Committing our lives 100% to Jesus Christ is the only Shelter there will be when the world is falling apart all around us.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:29-31)

Going Through the Motions

Though going to church or joining a small group and listening to Christian music and saying all the right things are all well and good...but they mean absolutely NOTHING unless you have a personal and intimate, ongoing, daily relationship with God. That means you should spend time with Him in personal prayer, you should want to know Who He is by reading and studying His Word, you should be hearing from the Holy Spirit to direct your life and you should be desiring to live in obedience to God's Word and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Unless you are growing in your relationship with God...all you are doing is going through the motions. And THAT is called "religion"!

It's Gonna Be Biblical!

It's amazing to me that I listen to so many people talking about developing a peace treaty in Israel, and they talk like that will be the solution to all the conflicts that are going on there now. Do they not read their Bible? Luke CLEARLY describes what will be the outcome of that "peace treaty". Why can they not see where a peace treaty or as Daniel calls it a "covenant with many" (Daniel 9:27) will lead? Half way through the treaty or covenant, literally all hell will break loose in Jerusalem! Revelation describes that time in graphic detail and even Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica, "For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape."

Luke 21:20-24 says:

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

ONLY Jesus Christ is the TRUE Messiah!

 

What we need to understand is that Jews are looking for a "Messiah" and Muslims are also looking for a "Messiah"...they each have their own theology about who will come and save them. But they are NOT looking for Jesus Christ to return as the Messiah to rule and reign over the earth. The difference between Christianity and every other religion is Jesus. No other religion on earth believes that Jesus is the Christ and will save them from their sins and give them eternal life.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

When is The Millennial Reign of Christ to Begin?

We have heard it for 2 centuries…one day, Jesus will come back to earth to reign and rule for a thousand years, and there will finally be peace in the world. We’ve waited and waited, but no one seems to know just when this will happen. Well, let me tell  you…I don’t know either, but the Holy Spirit dropped something in my spirit a year or so ago, and it does give a possibility of how close we may be to the plans of God…so please stay with me till the end of this video and let me know in the comments what you think. 

Think about this…In the book of Exodus, we read about a time when God released about 2 million Hebrews from 430 years of Egyptian slavery, and under the leadership of Moses, He led them through the wilderness of Sinai to their promised land. It was during that time that God began teaching them how to worship the One True God, and in the process, He gave them a set of laws that would govern them in the future…what we now refer to as the 10 Commandments. I’m not going to go over all of those here, but I do want to look at one of them in particular. 

In the 20^th chapter of Exodus, in verses 8-11, it says this:
