When is The Millennial Reign of Christ to Begin?

We have heard it for 2 centuries…one day, Jesus will come back to earth to reign and rule for a thousand years, and there will finally be peace in the world. We’ve waited and waited, but no one seems to know just when this will happen. Well, let me tell  you…I don’t know either, but the Holy Spirit dropped something in my spirit a year or so ago, and it does give a possibility of how close we may be to the plans of God…so please stay with me till the end of this video and let me know in the comments what you think.

Think about this…In the book of Exodus, we read about a time when God released about 2 million Hebrews from 430 years of Egyptian slavery, and under the leadership of Moses, He led them through the wilderness of Sinai to their promised land. It was during that time that God began teaching them how to worship the One True God, and in the process, He gave them a set of laws that would govern them in the future…what we now refer to as the 10 Commandments. I’m not going to go over all of those here, but I do want to look at one of them in particular.

In the 20th chapter of Exodus, in verses 8-11, it says this:

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” (Exodus 20:8-11)

So in Genesis we read about the creation of the world, the sun, the moon, the stars, plant life, all the animals, along with the fish and the birds. Then on the 6th day, God created mankind and planted him in the Garden of Eden that He had prepared as a perfect place for man to dwell…and he created for the man a helper in the form of a woman, to serve as his companion and wife.

And then, Genesis 2 verses 2 and 3, records something unique. It says:

“And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.  Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”

God understood that it would be important for mankind to have a time of rest from all his work and a time to reflect on the things he had done, and so God set the example by sanctifying the 7th day for this purpose.

Now back to the Exodus story…here Moses was in the wilderness with about 2 million Hebrews that had just been released from 430 years of slavery, and Moses went up to the mountain to meet face to face with God. And God gave him a set of tablets, and on it were written the law that He was giving to the people to help them learn how to live as free people who worship the One True God. And along with the other 9 commandments, there was the one that reminded them of the sabbath day  of rest.

Now I’m sure some of you are thinking, “So what does any of that have  to do with the millennial reign of Christ?” Let me continue…

Let’s look at 2 Peter Chapter 3 for a minute. In the first few verses, Peter is writing about the coming of the Lord, and he’s reminding the readers that in the last days, people are going to be scoffers and they will make light of the promises of God and they will say, “yeah sure, we’ve been hearing about the coming of the Lord all our lives, and He hasn’t come yet, so we don’t believe He ever will.” Friends, isn’t that exactly what the world is saying now? We can do whatever we want because there will be no reckoning…there will be no accountability…and they are even saying there is no God.

But in verses 8 & 9, Peter says this about that subject:

“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:8-9)

Did you hear what he said… “one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”

Okay, here’s where it gets good, Friends.

Most scholars who have done the math and follow the genealogies believe that the world is over 6000 years old from the time of the Creation until now. While we don’t know the exact times because of the calendar and date changes that have taken place over the generations, we do know that Jesus was born approximately 4-6 BC and that He was crucified when He was about 33 to 33.5 years old. That would  have put His death at approximately 30 to 35 AD. What if…using the 7th day  rest theory, Jesus were to return at the end of the “6th day” or the 6th millennium and bring a time of rest to the earth? And…what if the “7th day” or the 7th millennium were the thousand years when Jesus will reign on the earth…or the “day of rest”…rest from wars, rest from violence, rest from sin? That would put the time of the 7th Millennium somewhere around the next few years. Now, I don’t know how God counts time, but I do believe that we will see the “covenant with many” that Daniel spoke of and the rebuilding of the 3rd Temple within the next few years. And when the covenant is signed, you can begin to count down the time when the covenant is broken after 3.5 years, and at that time, Israel will experience the worst attack in their history. When the Bible describes this time, it describes a time of literal hell breaking loose in Jerusalem. After this comes the time of the “Great Tribulation” that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24.

Friends believe me when I tell you that I am not a date setter, but I do believe, with all my heart that  the events we are seeing taking place in Israel right now, and with the technology that is available to the world, I truly believe that we are coming very close to the events that the Prophets have been warning about for thousands of years…and that God has been leading us to that will bring about the most amazing time in history on the earth…the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ. There has never been a time when the world was more ready for all those prophecies to begin to take place than we are  right now.

The truth is Friends, that we just don’t know when Jesus will return and set up His Millennial Kingdom, but let me tell you, between now and then, it’s gonna get really bumpy and EVERY Christian will absolutely need to KNOW Who their God is and they are going to HAVE to stand strong on their faith! And that, dear Friends, is the reason that I keep making these videos. Please take the time to read and study your Bible, spend a great deal of time in prayer and get to know God like you have never known Him before. It will be the most important thing that you can do in order to assure discernment of Truth and to prepare for the last of the last days.
