Some Thoughts for the New Year:

Friends, as we are almost to the end of another year, the time is now to begin looking at what each of us wants to accomplish in the New Year, and also we need to be contemplating where our world may be heading in 2024.

If you have not been paying attention, NOW is the time to wake up and watch the signs that are happening all around us that would show us that we are barreling toward a MAJOR EVENT. We can look for something very significant to happen in 2024 because it is an election year...and we don't know exactly what that will certainly ignite.

The old adage is that you should never talk about two things...Politics and Religion. Well, it seems lately that I have found another subject that many people, especially many Christians, are totally turned off about, and that is End Times. When I start talking about the things that are going on in the world that point to the fulfilling of Biblical Prophecy, you see this blank look come across their faces, or else they will tell you all the reasons why they don't believe things are happening now as God has told us they would. Friends, the apostle Peter warned his readers of such attitudes when he said:

You can be sure that the time is coming very soon when the plans that the Globalists have for this planet is about to collide with God's plans for this planet...and that collision will be horrendous! Jesus put it like this:

"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened." (Matthew 24:21-22)

This new "Me Ideology" that says that everything these days is based on "their feelings", and no amount of science, biology, facts or the Bible, seems to matter is just crazy. Whatever they "feel" is what they believe and they will fight you, scream at you, hate you, curse you to your face, and some will even physically attack you if you disagree with them. Where on earth did people get this attitude from? It's astounding to me, but we are definitely living in the "Selfie Generation" that Paul wrote about:

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (2 Timothy 3:1-4)

"Beware of False Prophets"

When a person's actions or lifestyle doesn't line up with the words they are telling you, always believe their actions. Turns out actions really do speak louder than words. Jesus put it this way:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." (Matthew 7:15-20)

And You Shall Receive Power….

Today I want to talk about what actually happens when a Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit. Let’s look at some scriptures and see what the Bible has to say about this subject and how being filled with God’s Spirit can actually change your life and ministry. And I will also be sharing how this information may change your mind about why being filled with the Holy Spirit IS for YOU today and how it can affect your church, your ministry and those who are out there trying to reach the lost for the Kingdom of God.

I have a very timely message I want to share with you. It is a message I believe will actually change your life and I believe it will help you to find more rest and more peace when those times of silence and waiting come into your life. I hope you will see that God has a plan for those times too, and I hope that this message will help you to better deal with those times when it seems that Heaven is silent, those times when you just can’t seem to hear from God.

Today I want to share a short message with you from the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3…and we are only going to be looking at two verses from that chapter because I believe God has a great message for us from this portion of scripture. So right now if you would please turn with me to Ecclesiastes chapter 3 and let’s get into the Word…

First of all, verse 11 says this:

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Tonight I have a very personal question I want to ask you. And so…do you want to know what the question is that I have for you tonight? I want to you give this question some thought before you answer, because how you answer could make the difference between the Holy Spirit being able to actually work in and through your life or not. Also, I’m going to be sharing some scriptures that will help us to see what the Bible has to say, so be sure to stay with me all the way until the end and jot down the scriptures so you can think about it later on, because I think these scriptures may surprise you. So here’s the question…when you look in the mirror every day, who is that person that you see looking back at you? I want to think about two different aspects of that question…The first one: Who do you see yourself as, and the second one is who is it that other people see when they look at you? So let’s talk about that…

Tonight I want to talk to you about a subject that I’m very passionate about. The reason that I’m so passionate about this subject is because I see so many people who are led astray in their Christian beliefs. Many of them go to a church or they sit under a pastor or teacher who either has not studied scripture sufficiently, or they just pass down whatever they hear somebody else teach or a message that someone else has written. Or the third possibility is that some of these church leaders deliberately mislead their congregation with false doctrine and deceptive teachings. Either way, multitudes of people who are faithful to their churches, and many of these people have been in church for a very long time, but for whatever reason, they don’t take the time or make an effort to actually study the Word of God for themselves, and so they end up just believing whatever their pastor or Sunday School teacher or denomination tells them to believe…and unfortunately, much of what they think is truth…is not really truth at all. And they have no way of knowing that it’s not true, because they didn’t study their Bibles…and so they become deceived about God and His Word. And Friends…let me tell you…being deceived about God’s Word is a very dangerous position to be in.

As long as a person lives their life according to their emotions, thoughts, opinions or the opinions of their peers, there's always going to be a discontentment in their soul. But when that person begins to seek and finally finds Truth, and they begin to apply that Truth to their lives and surrender their lives to it every day, a certain contentment and peace begins to settle in their souls that nothing else can produce. That is what Jesus meant when He said:

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

God's Promises to Israel

We need to understand that the Bible is mostly a Jewish book and it was written mostly by Jews. And although the New Testament began in Israel, it contains the account of the beginning of The Church, consisting of both Jews and Gentiles. But the time is coming when God's attention will once again turn back toward Israel as He completes the fulfillment of ALL the promises He made to the Nation of Israel!

The Future of Digital Currency and Artificial Intelligence

We need to understand that in the future, the more we use Digital Currency and Artificial Intelligence, the more control over our personal lives and finances we give to those in control. This will eventually lead to a society that will own and control everything, and we will own nothing. This is the direction the world is taking and we see it leaning more and more in that direction every day. The Bible foretells this will happen...the question WE must ask ourselves is how will we respond? Those are questions we need to be thinking about NOW, before we come to that place.

We've Got to Look Past the Surface Level

Friends, one thing we need to understand is that we cannot continue to look at everything from a surface level and think we won't be deceived. Things are very seldom the way they appear to be and many times, people have an agenda of their own. Who people say they are is often not who they really are inside. The things people appear to do on the outside is often not what they are really doing behind your back. We MUST dig deeper to see the Truth! We must begin to examine the motives and intents of people's hearts. Just because someone says they love you, does not always mean that's really how they feel. When someone says they are a Christian, that doesn't always make it so. Does the person who says they love you really ACT like they love you...all the time? Does the person who says they are a Christian really ACT like they love the Lord even when they're around their unsaved friends? A person's lifestyle should line up with the things that they profess. If it doesn't...then you need to BE AWARE!

I want to remind you that we’re living in unprecedented times…we’re living in a time when Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes, and every day we can see how quickly we’re inching toward the return of our Lord Jesus Christ! Much has been said and written about the times in which we live, but yet, unless you’re paying attention…unless you’re watching the signs, you’re liable to totally miss it! I am going to share with you right now 7 things that I fully expect to happen within the next few years that will lead us right up to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the rapture of the church.

No Compromise Christians

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.” (Revelation 2:13)

Friends, you need to know in your hearts that God is aware of your situation. He knows where you are, and He has not become at all discouraged about the circumstances that surround your life. He is still in control!

As The Church, it's not enough to be doing a bunch of busy work, but we need to be looking at why we're doing the things we're doing. What's our motive... what's our end goal. Doing a bunch of busy work is just going through the motions of playing church and in the end, accomplishing little. If we're not adding value to the purpose for our existence, then as the Body of Christ, we are not the living organism that Jesus created us to be. Our purpose is to bring an increase to the Kingdom of God. Yes we need to be feeding people, helping people, doing good things for our communities. That's all well and good. But JUST doing good works is not going to get it in these end times. We must get busy about The Father's business! We MUST be telling people how to have eternal life. It's ONLY the Gospel of Jesus Christ that's going to set people free! That's our purpose!

Sowing on Good Ground

“Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.” (Matthew13:3)

As was His teaching style, Jesus often compared the lessons He wanted the people to learn to things and situations that they were familiar with, and the lesson found in Matthew 13:1-23 is no exception. There was nothing more familiar to them than a farmer going out to plant his crop during planting season. Let’s look at this parable to see how it might benefit us.

Jesus IS Coming Back!

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. (Matthew 25:31-33)

"When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Mark 8:34)

The strange thing about human nature is that everyone wants to be in control. You see it in business, you see it in families, and unfortunately, sometimes you even see it in the Body of Christ. I think again it has to do with that sinful nature that we were born with. It all boils down to the fact that everybody wants to have it their own way…their individual personal preferences. And the truth is that most of our problems at work, at home and our church stems from that very desire. We fail to recognize that God has created a world that is based on order and structure.

One of the strongest reasons for failure in people's lives is because they refuse to admit that they were wrong, and to take personal responsibility for their own choices and actions. If you never admit you were wrong and make the effort to change, how do you ever expect your life to be different in the future? That's why, when we come to God, He requires Repentance. He want's us to KNOW that we are sinners and that if we don't experience a change, we will continue living in sin and paying it's consequences. When we repent, we understand that our previous choices have caused our problems, and we want to do what we need to do in order for our lives to be different. A very wise person once said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." Isn't it time to OWN UP to your sins, repent and begin today to change for the better. God will give you the help you need, if you ask Him to and then obey Him.

We MUST Change Course NOW!

America...If we want our nation to be exalted again, we MUST change course NOW! We can't continue to elect people who lie, who steal, who cheat, who use vulgar and filthy language and who commit fraud on the American people and we certainly don't need entertainment or a popularity contest. If we continue in the direction we are going, how can we expect for God to bless our nation again?

If we want God to bless our nation again, then we MUST change our thinking and start electing Leaders who lead with Integrity and Righteousness and Truth! We need good role models for our children and our grandchildren to look up to and to follow who will point them in the right direction. We need Leaders who will actually do what they promised they will do and who will stand for the Conservative Values that made this nation strong in the first place and we need leaders who won't cave in the first time they are challenged. If we don't make these drastic changes soon, this nation simply WILL NOT stand!

The Battle is Fierce!

Friends, we need to realize our world is in an enormously fierce spiritual battle right now. Deception is everywhere and so many people...even many of our friends and loved ones...are being sucked into the realm of demonic activity and they don't realize what a tight grip Satan has on their lives. We need to be praying against these demonic spirits Friends, and we need to be doing "spiritual battle" for their lives. We must break the power of the Evil One over those around us. Never stop praying for them to break the power of Satan over their lives.

"Wars and Rumors of Wars"

Every time there is a conflict in the Middle East involving the Palestinians and Israel, people begin to question if this battle could lead to the Gog and Magog war mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 and Revelation 20. We must remember, there is a sequence of events that the Bible leads us through, and in my studies, I believe that the NEXT event that will take place in the middle east in the End Times Calendar of Events is that a "Covenant" will be formed as written in Daniel 9:27, and it will include an alliance of nations in the Middle East that will bring an end to this conflict. Watch for it to take place soon. I know there are several countries that are positioning themselves to work toward brokering peace...Russia, China, Egypt and others, but a peace deal is the basis for the deception that will precede the battle that will usher in the return of Christ. There are a number of things that are still to happen, so pay attention. Jesus said in Matthew 24:

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

Standing Up For Truth

If you don't pay attention to what's going on in the world and if you don't speak up for Righteousness and Truth, then you have no right to complain when evil takes over your world, your country, your state...and yes... your city and neighborhood! Christians are SUPPOSED to be Salt and Light in the world and we are NOT supposed to keep our heads buried in the sand with an "I don't care" attitude. Will it cause trouble for you if you speak up? Well, yes it probably will. But think about this... Jesus could have just stayed comfortable in Heaven, but instead He chose to get involved and do something about the evil in the world and He so came into this sin-filled world to make a difference...and it cost Him His life! Why? Because He loved you and me that much! And He told us to "Go, and do likewise".

Seek First the Kingdom of God

Enduring Hardship

"I know your afflictions and your poverty – yet you are rich! I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” (Revelation 2:9)

Perhaps more than ever before, we need to be aware of the fact that times are going to get more and more difficult as the day of our Lord draws near. Every day, looking at the news is like watching another chapter of end times prophecy unfolding right before our eyes. I am reminded that Jesus said in Matthew 24 verses6b and 8 when speaking of the coming conditions of the world, “all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” and “All these are the beginning of sorrows." (or some translations say "the beginning of the birth pains)

One of the biggest lies perpetrated on the Church today is that Christians will not be here when the Antichrist shows up. There is no place in scripture that indicates that at all. Why does it matter what we believe? Because if we are not planning to be here, and we aren't expecting him to show up, we won't recognize him when he does appear and we WILL be deceived. And THAT is Satan's plan to deceive Christians into going along when he presents the mark, (whether it's a chip, whether it's an implant), that will allow you to buy and sell, sealing your fate! It's important what we believe! If it wasn't important, Jesus would not have warned us about it! Wake Up Church...Pay attention! The days are short and everything is being prepared NOW for the final battle for your soul!

Scripture is very clear about the sequence of events leading up to the appearing of Christ in the air to receive His Followers also known as the Rapture. And when scripture talks about it, it also explains the events that are taking place on the earth at that time. For example, Matthew 24 talks about all the difficulty and persecution that is taking place on the earth and then it talks about the "abomination of desolation" appearing beginning with verse 15. And then...all the way down beginning in verse 29 it says (pay close attention to the words AFTER and THEN:

Truth is not a subjective thing. I can't have one truth and you have another...otherwise it would just be opinions, thoughts or ideas. Truth is ABSOLUTE...it is the same for every person in every country in every generation. And Truth NEVER changes! It isn't subject to our feelings or our thought or our ideas or opinions. Truth is FOREVER True! Truth will never NOT be true. It doesn't change because the culture changes, it doesn't change because technology changes, and just because people deviate from Truth, or even if people don't believe in it... that still does not change the fact the it's STILL True! And whether you believe it or not...you will STILL pay the consequences that is required from ignoring the Truth. And Friends...one thing I can tell you without a doubt...GOD IS TRUTH!!!

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

The Results of One "Little" Sin

If you think for a moment that one "little" sin won't matter, you need to realize that the conflict in the middle east that has been going on for thousands of years and continues to this very day is the result of one "little" sin that Abraham committed when he fathered a son with Hagar whose name was Ishmael! God promised Abraham a son with his wife Sarah, but Abraham and Sarah became impatient and took matters into their own hands rather than wait for God's perfect plan! YES Friends...sin is a VERY BIG deal!

Watch For The Deceiver!

Friends...hear me well...these times are NOT coming...they are already here and have been for quite a while. But you've gotta learn how to recognize them because they WILL lead you straight to hell!

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

What to Expect Before Jesus Returns

Friends...it's VERY important that you get this right! All these things will happen BEFORE the Rapture according to The Bible! Every place where the Bible mentions meeting with Jesus in the air, it comes AFTER the Antichrist appears. If you are a Christian, it is VITAL that you seek after Truth and listen intently to the leading of the Holy Spirit...because if you don't, you will not recognize the Antichrist when he appears on the scene...and you will be deceived because The Bible says he will deceive "the whole world"!

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

The Way to Have Abundant Life

One of the greatest lessons I've learned in my life is that everybody messes-up at some point in their lives. It doesn't take a whole lot of talent to mess-up. But if you mess up and you learn the lesson that the mess-up provides, and you allow it to change your life...then it was worth it. But if you mess-up and you just keep doing the same thing over and over and you never learn from your mess-ups, then you're just wasting your life and you will never amount to very much.

If you think there's nothing to this Christianity stuff, think about this...when you talk to people about God, they don't mind that, when you talk to them about Mary, Moses, Abraham, church, the Pope, any of the "Saints", and most people are just fine with it. BUT...when you mention the Name of Jesus... THAT'S when the problems begin. It's Jesus who is the Divider, the Stumbling Block. Why??? It's simple. Jesus Himself said very emphatically, "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, no one comes to the Father except by Me."

We should not be surprised as we watch the things that God's Word tells us about is coming to pass before our very eyes. Lawlessness, self-centered attitudes, digital currency, artificial intelligence, and intense blasphemy and ignorance against anything having to do with God and His Word. For 2000 years people tried to imagine how it could possibly happen, and yet right now we are seeing it all falling in place. We need to prepare our hearts for a time of great testing for the Children of God as we come closer and closer to the warnings we see in the Book of Revelation.

Dealing With Offenses

Hi Friends! Have you noticed how easily people get offended in today's world? It seems like everyone is walking on eggshells, afraid of hurting someone else’s feelings. Yet, no matter what we say or do, there's always the probability of someone taking offense. It seems like the world has been flipped upside-down, which is exactly what we read in the prophetic warnings found in the Bible about these end times.

I'm going to share with you one of the simplest, yet most profound facts in all the universe...God loves YOU! Imagine that...the Creator of everything that there is...the God of ALL glory...the Master of the Universe...THAT God loves YOU!

Think about it...of all the hundreds of thousands of gods and idols that people all over the world worship...our God is the ONLY God Who is alive and loves His people. All the other gods are dead gods and many are gods that are made by human hands out of wood or stone or metal...they are NOT alive...they do NOT care for their followers. Those people are putting their trust in something that cannot help them...can do nothing for them. But our God is alive...and our God loves us so much that He sent His very own Son to die as payment for our sins so that we can have the privilege of living with Him forever!

While He was on the earth, Jesus gave His disciples some very sound advice, and that is what I want to talk to you about tonight, Friends. In Matthew 7:17-20, Jesus said this, “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Now granted in this particular portion of scripture, Jesus was specifically talking about false prophets, but He reiterated this same principal in other places in scripture also. Matthew 12:33 for instance, where He said this, “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.” This principal cannot be altered…you cannot get good and bad fruit from the same tree.

Truth....

One thing I absolutely LOVE is TRUTH! I hate lies...I hate deception! Deception is from the EVIL ONE and will ALWAYS lead you down the path of destruction! TRUTH will never be found by following the crowd or going with what's popular. TRUTH must be sought after. You MUST desire to know it and once you find it, you must commit to living in it.

It was in searching for TRUTH many years ago that I finally found Jesus. And it's been by searching for TRUTH that He has given me VICTORY when I have walked in obedience to Him. The times when I have fallen, and failed, and lost my way in life were the times when I believed a lie...when I turned my back on TRUTH and chose to do what seemed right in my own mind. Those were times when I failed miserably!

TRUTH will never send you down the wrong path.

TRUTH will never give you a defeated life. And

TRUTH will ALWAYS... ALWAYS set you free!

"Go and Preach The Gospel"

You know...if I didn't know how it all ends, I would be really concerned about the direction the world is headed in. But I read THE BOOK, and I KNOW how it all turns out...and I'm not worried. I know that God is with me and He will take care of me until He decides to bring me Home. What I do worry about are all the people that I love who don't know, and they aren't taking the signs of the times seriously and they're just "going with the flow", doing whatever the world is telling them to do. It really does matter what you know and how you live your life! God gave us His Word so that we WILL know and so we can watch and be prepared!

By the Blood of the Lamb!

The Cross was about forgiveness of sins. All the sins of the world were placed upon Jesus at Calvary and He paid the penalty for them all. Whatever it is that you've done, God has already provided for your forgiveness. He holds NO unforgiveness toward you. But... REPENTANCE is what restores your relationship with God. Repentance is about you changing your rebellious heart so that you are no longer at odds with God. That is what allows you to enter into His presence to have a close RELATIONSHIP with Him! So to be reconciled with God, you need both The Cross which provided forgiveness for your sins and repentance which puts you in right relationship with God.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus!

Ya know...sorrow happens to everybody! It used to happen to me a lot before I knew the Lord. But to be perfectly honest, I didn't stop dealing with sorrow just because I got saved...in fact looking back now I think my sorrow increased, because people I loved didn't want to hang around with me anymore with all that "religious stuff". And that hurt a lot. But I'm sure they thought I would soon get over it.

Here's an assurance I can give you...if you will love the Lord with your whole heart and seek after Him diligently, He will be your Provider and your Protector during the difficulties that are coming upon this earth.

Until church members move outside the comfort of those nice buildings and go out into the highways and the byways of life and COMPELL the people who dwell there to come into God's Kingdom, it is simply NOT going to happen. The responsibility rests on The Church! It's not the pastor's job, it's not the evangelist's job...it's the work of the ministry of the Body of Christ. If you belong to Him...your job is to bring an increase to the Kingdom of God. That is where your citizenship belongs, and your job on this earth is to bring glory and honor and praise unto Him Who came to set you free...King Jesus is His Name! Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me." Let's lift up the Name of Jesus Friends...His Name is Glorious...His Name is Powerful...His Name is Wonderful. He IS The Almighty! Lift up Jesus in your life today....

Don't Live in Fear!

One of the main weapons of the Enemy is FEAR. If he can get you to live in fear...fear of failure, fear of illness, fear of danger, fear of financial ruin...anything he can get you to be afraid of equates to one more victory for the side of EVIL and will rob you of the many victories and joys that God wants you to experience. Many people isolate themselves, living in fear that somehow, the world outside will bring harm to them. Those people are not experiencing the GRACE of God! That's why Jesus told people over and over...."FEAR NOT" and "Have no fear".

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18)

The Revelation is Near

We are drawing closer to the time when John the Apostle heard these words, "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, 'Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.'" (Revelation 16:1)

I just want to ask you today my Friend...are you sure you are ready to face the things that are coming upon the earth? Do you know Jesus Christ? Have you truly repented, or turned away from your sins and are you walking with the Lord every day? Have you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life? THAT is the ONLY way you can possibly escape the judgement of God that is coming upon the earth!

He’s Been There

“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)

Did you ever wonder why Jesus was permitted to endure so much other agony besides dying on the cross and shed His blood for the remission of our sins? Of course we all understand the purpose of His death, but it seems that His crucifixion alone would have been enough. So why was He also required to live a lowly life…be forsaken and rejected by almost everyone He was close to? Why did He even have to endure being forsaken by God in His hour of greatest need?

I choose to believe God's account of everything! In a world that's gone crazy, ever-changing, flipped upside down... you MUST have a foundation...an anchor... somewhere you can go and Someone you can turn to Who's never going to change, that's always going to be there even when the going gets impossible...a shelter from all the storms this life has to toss your way...that's what God's Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit will be in your life! Trust Him... He's NEVER failed in all of eternity, and He's not going to start now!

“For I am the Lord, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob."

(Malachi 3:6)

Letting Go of the Past

One of the most powerful lessons the Apostle Paul learned was to let go of the past and move forward. To the Church at Philippi he wrote: "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14)
